Almighty God says, “His work now is to make pure all that has been corrupted by Satan so that they may be regained and become His possession and become His glory. Such work is not as simple as man imagines the creation of the heavens and earth and all things to be, and it is not akin to the work of cursing Satan to the bottomless pit as man imagines. Rather, it is to transform man, to turn that which is negative into the positive and to take into His possession that which does not belong to Him. This is the inside story of this stage of God’s work. You must realize it, and should not oversimplify matters. The work of God is unlike any ordinary work. Its marvel cannot be conceived by the mind of man, and its wisdom cannot be attained by such. God is not creating all things, and He is not destroying them. Rather, He is changing all of His creation and purifying all things that have been defiled by Satan. Therefore, God shall commence work of great magnitude, and this is the total significance of the work of God. After reading these words, do you believe that the work of God is so simple?”
God’s Work of Managing and Saving Mankind Started with “Abraham Offering Up Isaac”
God bestowed to Abraham a son, and the word he spoke to Abraham was fulfilled. This did not mean that God’s plan came to a stop here. On the contrary, God’s grand plan of managing and saving mankind had just started. And God’s bestowing to Abraham a son just raised the curtain on his entire management plan. At the very moment, no one knew that the war between God and satan began to be on the stage secretly from the matter of “Abraham offering up Isaac.”
God Overlooks Man’s Foolishness and Only Wants Man’s True Heart
When Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son, did God see the whole action? God saw it. In the whole course from God’s requiring Abraham to offer up Isaac to Abraham’s lifting the knife to really slay his son, God saw Abraham’s heart. Whether he was foolish or ignorant or misunderstood God before that, his heart for God at that time was genuine and sincere, and he truly wanted to return to God his son—Isaac, whom God bestowed to him. God saw in him his obedience, and that was what God wanted.
Man Receives God’s Blessing Because of His True Heart and His Obedience
When Abraham returned his only son—his beloved only son—to God (Note: Here we cannot say “offered” but should say “returned” to God) according to God’s requirement, God not only did not let Abraham offer up Isaac but instead would bless him. What promise did God bless him with? He would multiply his descendants.
