No matter how common, normal, humble, or even diminished God’s incarnated flesh is, his mind and his attitude toward mankind cannot be possessed or imitated by any man. He observes mankind always in the position of divinity and in the height of the Creator, and looks at mankind with God’s substance and God’s mind, and he will never look at mankind in the height of an ordinary man or in the position of a corrupt man.
God regards man as his dear one, and also God wants man to regard him as the dearest. Only thus can God truly gain man and can man truly love and worship God.

When God got up from his bed, he had the first thought: to create a living being, a living man, who will live with him and be his companion, accompanying him at his side; such a living being can listen to his speaking and listen to his pouring out and can also talk with him. So God for the first time personally picked up a handful of dust and created with his own hands the first living being in his mind. And then he for the first time gave such a living creature a name—Adam.
When he had such a living man, what was God’s heart like? He for the first time felt the joy of having a dear one and a companion, for the first time felt the responsibility of being a father, and for the first time felt a sense of concern. It was this living man who brought God pleasure and joy. He made God feel comfort for the first time.
There will always be some distance between one’s dreams and the realities that one must confront; things are never as one would like them to be, and faced with such realities people can never achieve satisfaction or contentment. Some people will even go to any length imaginable, will put forth great efforts and make great sacrifices for the sake of their livelihoods and future, in attempt to change their own fate. But in the end, even if they can realize their dreams and desires by means of their own hard work, they can never change their fates, and no matter how doggedly they try they can never exceed what destiny has allotted them. Regardless of differences in ability, IQ, and willpower, people are all equal before fate, which makes no distinction between the great and the small, the high and the low, the exalted and the mean. What occupation one pursues, what one does for a living, and how much wealth one amasses in life are not decided by one’s parents, one’s talents, one’s efforts or one’s ambitions, but are predetermined by the Creator.
The fates of humanity and of the universe are intimately entwined with the Creator’s sovereignty, inseparably tied to the Creator’s orchestrations; in the end, they cannot be teased apart from the Creator’s authority. Through the laws of all things man comes to understand the Creator’s orchestration and His sovereignty; through the rules of survival he perceives the Creator’s governance; from the fates of all things he draws conclusions about the ways the Creator exercises His sovereignty and control over them; and in the life cycles of human beings and all things man truly experiences the Creator’s orchestrations and arrangements for all things and living beings and truly witnesses how those orchestrations and arrangements supersede all earthly laws, rules, and institutions, all other powers and forces. In light of this, humanity is compelled to recognize that the Creator’s sovereignty cannot be violated by any created being, that no force can meddle with or alter the events and things predestined by the Creator. It is under these divine laws and rules that humans and all things live and propagate, generation after generation. Is this not the true embodiment of the Creator’s authority?
The series of attacks were the sufferings Job underwent when he was first tempted. In the attacks, satan only aimed at Job’s possessions and his sons and daughters and did not do harm to Job himself, as commanded by God. But Job instantly turned from a rich man of great wealth into a man with nothing. No one can bear such a blow like a thunderbolt or face it properly. Job, however, showed his transcendence. The scripture describes it this way: Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down on the ground, and worshipped. This was Job’s first reaction when he heard that all his possessions and his sons and daughters were lost. First of all, he did not show any surprise or panic, much less any anger or hatred. It can be seen that he was sure within that all the calamities were not accidental or from man’s hand, much less were they retribution or punishment coming upon him, but rather, it was that Jehovah’s trial came upon him, and that Jehovah wanted to take away his property and his sons and daughters. Job at that time was very quiet in his heart and was very sober-minded, and his perfect and upright humanity caused him to make a right judgment and decision rationally and naturally on the calamities he encountered. So, he acted extraordinarily calm: He arose, rent his mantle, shaved his head, and fell down on the ground and worshipped.
The Integrity Job Held Fast Made Satan Ashamed and Disgraced and Flee in Panic
The word “the LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD” was the testimony Job bore for God. It was this common word that made satan frightened and ashamed and disgraced and flee in panic, and even more caused satan to be at its wits’ end. It was also this word of Job that made satan feel the wonderfulness and power of Jehovah God’s deeds, also made satan see the transcendent charm of a man who had God’s way rule in his heart, and even more made satan see the powerful life force that a small man displayed for the sake of holding fast the way of “fearing God and shunning evil.”
